The 2018 Salone del Mobile is over, which has confirmed Milan as the world capital of design and furniture. Our participation has been very satisfying in terms of new contacts and has registered a great appreciation of the new Joe, Sunrise, Sunset and Blade collections especially for Middle Eastern and Far East customers. Starting from the end of the month of February all our products will be delivered with a new warranty certificate and a tag related to the specific collection (Notorious-Concept-Classic). In addition, a small leaflet will be inserted reporting our social channels to facilitate any contact by the end user with our Customer service.
Marioni will show at Salone del Mobile 2018 new interesting proposals enriching Notorious and La Récréation collections. The "Joe" line composed by tables and consoles plays on the different composition of modular elements in lacquered wood, precious ceramic tiles and interlocking brass legs to create elegant structures of various heights and dimensions. The extra clear glass tops emphasize the shaped geometries. The "Sunset" floor and table sculpture lamps collection use an OLED lighting system of the Korean company LG. These ultra sophisticated and Hi Tech light sources illuminate the ceramic elements, creating a scenographic game of reflections on both sides.

A new showroom for Marion in Doha. After the presentation of the collections at the INDEX QATAR fair we are pleased to announce the beginning of a collaboration with Officina - Design & Trading showroom, located in the Salwa Road area. Our products will at disposal of local interior designer and architects for their projects.
Today, we have had the pleasure of hosting journalist Rebecca Vespa Berglund, conductor of "Il Posto Giusto", a Raitre TV program. We talked about digital design, reverse engineering and work globalization. The project involves other companies in the Tuscan area and also Design Campus Firenze. The 20-episode program will present Italy and its excellences, start-ups and training schools. Interview with Vittoria Marioni will be broadcasted middle on December.
We are working for the preparation of Index Qatar, which will take place in Doha from 13 to 15 November 2017. A new exhibition that for the first time brings Italian excellence to a territory that knows how to appreciate Italian quality and style.

Hosted towards the end of September each year, The Monaco Yacht Show attracts hundreds of exhibiting companies, some of the world’s biggest brokerages, and over 30,000 visitors to explore and discover the leading innovations and influential designs in the yachting industry. Spanning four days, the Monaco event features an incredible 9,000 squares metres of exhibition space, complimentary bus and boat shuttles, and a vast assembly of high-tech products and luxury yachts which can be seen both in port and at-anchor a short distance away. Marioni will be present in this important occasion as partner of the most prestigious shipyards who have selected some pieces of our collections to furnish exclusive yachts.
MARIONI faces the R & D project that sees the interior designer as the focus of our attention. We would like to offer a solution to the architects, interior designers and professionals who facilitate the use of our 3D models for the definition and subsequent presentation of high quality renders to the end user, whether it be a hotel chain or a general contractor, shipyard or private client, real estate agency or retailer. The tremendous advantage of virtual reality is that through sensory immersion it is possible to perceive proportions and dimensions in a realistic way, obtaining what is impossible to do through a 2D drawing. Those who already use Virtual Reality know very well that with this discipline some design mistakes can be modified and the choice of certain decisions can be corrected, which, if not taken in time, can lead to the use of unnecessary human and financial resources. When you wear the viewer, the sensation is to find and move within the virtual environment, also because vision and perspective vary by moving your head. And computer graphics, which reproduce materials, but also lights and shadows, is now so sophisticated that the experience is similar to reality. In this way, an architect can re-evaluate a project and a client can approve it with greater knowledge of cause.

On Thursday, July 13, 2017 John Cabot University welcomed architect Piero Angelo Orecchioni to the Continuing Education course “Marketing and Digital Strategy” for a lecture on brand identity in the fashion and design industries. Piero Angelo Orecchioni is the owner of Studio 63 Architecture and Design, a Florence-based company specialized in interior design for retail venues, hospitality structures, and offices. Orecchioni presented the concept of brand identity and how to develop it in order to unlock a company’s full potential in the market. Orecchioni focused especially on the luxury goods sector, where the unique character of a company’s identity is essential to its “up-to-dateness.” Orecchioni defined this as the ability to be “contemporary” while maintaining a close connection with the past. To conclude, Orecchioni presented one of his last works with Marioni Furniture Company, the collection Notorious, where he drew inspiration from the Hollywood postwar atmosphere. He designed 300 furniture pieces and gave them actors’ names from Alfred Hitchcock’s movies. In this way, he was able to increase the value of the objects and make them special for customers, while creating an atmosphere around the brand identity. Orecchioni’s current narrative and project is La Récréation, an attempt to create a brand out of his personal story through self-analysis, reminiscing about significant anecdotes from his life and the emotions connected to them.
